Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Bonaventura established Imago in 2022 in her Miami Beach home-studio, driven by a mission to empower unconventional spirits. Imago celebrates individuality through a lens of compassion for self + others, + invites you to embrace a profound connection with your unique journey.
Now based in San Francisco, the independent art + jewelry studio brings together Bonaventura’s diverse vocational background in marketing, video production, graphic design, + illustration; her expertise in fine arts such as printmaking + painting; + her lifelong dedication to jewelry-making, to create special collections of wearable art.
Imago pieces are inspired by art + nature, including music; Art Deco, modern, + organic architecture; experimental film; + the ethereal dance of the afternoon sun through the palm trees.
Using recycled precious metals, Bonaventura handcrafts the organic textures + timeless silhouettes that make up each unique Imago piece. Through locally found + repurposed materials, she lends an inventive twist to contemporary + minimalist designs. 01 REDUCED-IMPACT SILVER.
We craft our jewelry using recycled silver wherever possible to minimize our footprint + help mitigate the impacts of precious metal mining on earth + life. Our non-recycled or partly-recycled silver is sourced from certified environmentally + socially responsible suppliers. All silver scraps + cut-offs are reused or recycled in-house for later use.

Our packaging is at once minimalist + playful. We’ve mindfully designed a 100% recycled, plastic-free packaging experience that keeps your orders safe + neat during travel with a reduced environmental footprint.

Since heavier, bulkier shipments require more gas to travel, we like to ship your goodies in a lightweight yet protective mailer in order to minimize our carbon footprint.

We’ve chosen a sturdy, weight-resistant box in the smallest size possible to ship jewelry lightly without sacrificing protection.

Labels are made from 100% post-consumer waste paper; release liners (or the backing sheets off of which we peel the labels) are also made of 100% recycled content.

03 CARBON-NEUTRAL DELIVERY.
All orders ship carbon-neutral, which means fully offsetting the carbon-dioxide emissions of each shipment through positive environmental initiatives (such as reforestation).

We understand “conscious shopping” to be a privilege many consumers cannot afford. This is why we believe it is our responsibility as a business to operate in a manner that benefits all—including those who do not shop with us. Beyond choosing materials + production methods with minimal socio-environmental impact, we strive to make a positive social impact by supporting non-profits + initiatives that work hard to offer marginalized communities a better present + future.
As part of this commitment, Imago donates a portion of profits, at the end of each month, to non-profit programs dedicated to fighting injustice + improving quality of life for underserved people in both our local + global communities.

FIGHTING MATERNAL INJUSTICE IN THE USA.
NPTF is a non-profit program dedicated to improving maternal + infant health, + providing maternity care for all birthing people, especially those in communities affected by racist disparities within the healthcare system.

FEEDING STRUGGLING SRI LANKAN WOMEN GARMENT WORKERS + THEIR FAMILIES.
AFWA is a global, labor-led labor + social alliance that has been fighting wage injustice + gender discrimination in the garment production industry since 2007. They are currently collecting funds to distribute nutritious meal packets to Sri Lankan women garment workers who, due to their nation’s devastating political + economic crisis, are struggling to survive.
A $10 DONATION CAN FEED 12 WORKERS.
As of September 2022, the AFWA’s initiative has met less than 32% of its goal. Imago stands in solidarity with Sri Lankan garment workers, their children, + their families. We pledge to donate a portion of monthly profits to help feed these vulnerable groups critically impacted by poverty-level wages amid skyrocketing inflation, increased costs of living, + limited resources.
